We will play 3-Move - five 2 game rounds (Swiss Style) of 1 hour & 30 minutes per round - 45 minute games.

$15.00 entry fee - Registration Opens: 8:30AM - Play begins 10:00AM - Lunch break after two rounds
(We agreed to eat lunch with Libby Hill for the privilege to use their private room 8:30am - 7:00pm)

A group of us usually eat breakfast around 7:00AM at Spring Valley Restaurant, 421 West Meadowview Road, Greensboro, NC 27406 before the tourney. Burlington Checker Club partners with North Carolina Checker Association to sponsor this one day tournament. This is a sanctioned tournament by American Checker Federation with player ratings. The public is welcome and this tournament will bring together the best players in the Triad, Lexington, Asheboro, and Burlington areas. The tourney is an open format allowing anyone interested to register and compete. The highest finishing player will be recognized as the 2012 Greensboro Champion. Bring your own board & checkers. Tourney was announced in News-Record, GoTriad Scene Calendar under recreation.

Use this email: econoNc415@yahoo.com Brian Durham.  We didn't reserved rooms under "North Carolina Checkers" at Continental Inn & Suites, because we could not get special rates because this is furniture market week. They want full price $129.99, so we reserved 5 rooms (2 Queen beds) at Econo Lodge in Burlington, NC at a special "Checkers Tournament" rate of $45.99 for Friday & Saturday, April 20 and 21st. Make you reservation and let the receptionist know you are a Checker Player for this rate.  This is 26 minutes or 23 miles east of Libby Hill on I-40.  From Hotel drive 13.7 miles I-40 W / I-85 S toward Greensboro then exit 220, turn left on Randleman Rd. go to 3011 Randleman Rd, Libby Hill Seafood Restaurant is on the left.
